Low-level walks only, and weather-dependent. Dajti, Lake Shkodra and the Vjosa banks work; the Alps require winter equipment and local guidance.
Road trips
Main roads are clear but daylight is at its shortest, around nine hours. Mountain roads to Theth, Valbona and Kelmend can close with snow. Rent with winter tyres and never plan mountain arrivals after 15:00.
