Tirana Airport to Vlorë
Vlorë is roughly 150 km from Tirana Airport — about 2 hours 15 minutes by road, and the natural gateway to the Albanian Riviera.
Vlorë is where the Adriatic meets the Ionian and where the Riviera begins. It's close enough to the airport for a same-day arrival even on an afternoon flight — one of the few southern beach cities that is.

The route itself
- • The route runs on the SH4/A2 via Fier — fast, flat and easy driving.
- • South of Vlorë the Llogara Pass climbs to over 1,000 m with hairpins; drive it in daylight.
- • Radhimë and Orikum, on the bay south of the city, are 20–30 minutes further and much quieter.
Arrival tips
- • Vlorë city beach is urban; the clear water is south along the Karaburun side of the bay.
- • Vlorë is the last big supermarket and fuel stop before the Riviera villages.
Landing late at night?
A 2-hour motorway drive is manageable after an evening flight, but stop at Vlorë rather than pushing over Llogara in the dark.
